Justin Harbin has served as the Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning at LBC | Capital since 2020. Previously, he coordinated the Office of Teaching Effectiveness in a similar role from 2016-2019 and held the position of Instructional Designer in the Office of Digital Learning.

His doctoral research centered around supporting faculty innovation in teaching practice through faculty learning communities at LBC (Ed.D., Arizona State University), a model which has become a key practice of the Center since this time.

His current research focuses on identifying the markers of Christian pedagogy present in an enactivist learning framework. Key themes explored include embodied learning, sense-making and perception in the act of experiential learning, and a theology of play.
