πŸ“° Compelled to Teach Blog

The official CTL Blog Compelled to Teach will welcome a number of LBC | Capital faculty contributors writing about the intersections between teaching, learning, and our Christian faith.

Articles are very short form and designed to provide new ideas, encouragement, and conversation starters amidst your busy day. Look for links to each new post from the Center for Teaching & Learning Canvas group announcements throughout the semester.

πŸ’¬ Faculty Consultations

As always, the CTL offers one-on-one or group consultation on a variety of instructional levels or topics. If you are stuck brainstorming assessment ideas, struggling with a particular part of your classroom, or looking for new ideas, please reach out to [email protected].

🀝🏽 Building Community + Mentor Program

All new full-time faculty are required to attend these bi-weekly sessions as an opportunity to build relationships and get to know the unique context and culture of LBC | Capital. This year sessions will be held on Fridays and offer regular times for discussion, reflection, and connecting with important people and resources for faculty life at the institution.

πŸ’» CTL Faculty Canvas Group

If you haven’t already, be sure to join our CTL Faculty Canvas group for regular announcements (or emails, depending on your Canvas notification settings) and opportunities to connect. This semester, the CTL will be highlighting recommended readings, websites, and resources related to higher education and Christian teaching practice on a bi-weekly basis via the Canvas group.
